The power of a group
Elite tools was acquired in 2018 by the FICODIS consortium in order to sustain its expansion. FICODIS is a Canadian group whose main purpose is to provide companies with services, technical expertise and products in the field of industrial supplies.
Ficodis recently merged with the Descours & Cabaud group, a 240-year-old European professional supply distribution group.
Our roots
Elite tools, heir to a tradition of more than 123 years, is based on the boldness, entrepreneurial spirit, vision and know-how of two great Quebec families, the Garant and Mercier families. Originally, this company was called Les Scies Mercier. Today, it remains one of the oldest cutting tool manufacturers in North America and the building that gave birth to the company is one of the most important witnesses of Lévis' industrial patrimony.
